Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
This page lists what YakDesk stores in your browser on our own websites. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics trackers. Our first-party Product Analytics and Session Replay are controlled by the privacy choices shown on the site, and Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control disables both.
Cookies we set
- Session cookie (essential) — keeps you logged in and protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Deleted when your session ends.
-
yakdesk_conversion(Product Analytics) — a short-lived, server-issued receipt used once to count a completed registration without putting an email address or other form value in an event. It expires after five minutes and is deleted after processing.
Local storage
- Theme preference — remembers your light/dark/system choice. Stored in your browser's local storage, never sent to us.
The widget and recorder on customers' sites
The YakDesk chat widget and session recorder run on our customers' websites, not ours. What they store and capture there is governed by each customer's own privacy and cookie notices; our role is described in our Privacy Policy. The recorder masks form inputs by default, honors Do Not Track, and supports consent gating so customers can tie capture to their cookie banners.
Managing cookies
Use to change Product Analytics and Session Replay independently. You can also clear or block browser storage in your browser settings. Blocking the essential session cookie will prevent logging in.
